AR-DR: High efficiency hot water
Three smoke passages and industrial use
What should be expected from an AR-DR boiler defined as High Efficiency is a high instantaneous and seasonal efficiency.
Achieving flue gas temperatures below 160°C at full load is only possible with a carefully designed boiler.
The AR-DR model is a boiler for hot water up to 110ºC. The design pressures are up to 10 bar, and are therefore covered by Article 4.3 of the Pressure Equipment Directive for industrial uses.
Its construction is pyrotubular, with three flue passages (one in the firebox and two in the tubes) and suitable for both liquid and gaseous fuels. The boiler is cylindrical in shape, symmetrical with respect to its central axis. In this way, all expansions and stresses are evenly distributed throughout the boiler structure. This is a fundamental difference with respect to other oval-shaped boilers or boilers with two superimposed bodies.
As a consequence of the above, a construction with lower thermal stresses in the flanges is obtained, much more robust and durable, which allows higher operating pressures, working with a very wide margin over the elastic limits of the materials. In the boiler flue tubes, there are the spirals (or turbulators). Their function is to create turbulence that favors heat exchange. The first section is made of stainless steel.
The boiler body is insulated with 100 mm thick rock wool. This insulation also extends to the boiler flue box. The boiler construction materials, particularly the flue pipes, have improved corrosion resistance.
However, two well-defined limits must be respected simultaneously to avoid condensation: – Return temperature at least 65ºC – Flue gas temperature at least 110ºC.
AR-DR boilers can be supplied with either a simple or an advanced electrical control panel that allows to operate on all the decisive parameters of the equipment. All our boilers comply with the European Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU obtaining the corresponding CE marking.
